Lawn Mowing Tips
The first mowing of the season should be your shortest cut, cut the lawn at 2 inches. The first mowing will depend upon the type of Spring your area is experiencing.
• April - Rake lawn to help stimulate growth and cut the lawn to 2 inches
• May - Increase mowing height to 2 1/2 inches
• June - Increase mowing height to 3 inches and water on a regular basis during dry periods
• July - Maintain height of 3 inches and water on a regular basis during dry periods
• August - Maintain height of 3 inches and water on a regular basis during dry periods
• September - Lower height of the lawn to 2 1/2 inches as fall approaches
• October - Lower height of the lawn to 2 inches and remove leaves as needed
• November - Maintain lawn at 2 inches and be sure to remove leaves before the first snowfall
